Youth EngagementBelieve In Youth
Kaiser Permanente believes in youth. We believe in the power of youth voice as catalyst for change. We value youth as essential allies in our work to improve the health of our communities. Our youth engagement programs provide youth the opportunities to be educators, leaders and advocates for health as a life long journey. Under the guidance and facilitation of professional actors/educators from our team, our youth partner with experts from school, city and state health organizations to achieve the following goals:
- Identify health barriers
- Raise awareness of health concerns
- Offer youth driven solutions
- Implement youth driven strategies to improve the health of the community
We support the Colorado comprehensive health and physical education standards of offering skill-based curriculum allowing students to apply their health knowledge by advocating for their own health and the health of their community.
